Call It Supper: Pumpkin-Butterscotch and Chocolate Graham Trifle
We don’t usually write semi-homemade recipes on Call It Supper, but this one came from my grandmother and we all know that grandmothers have the best recipes. You can also prepare this ahead of time, which makes it a great dish to bring to your next Fall gathering.
RECIPE: Pumpkin-Butterscotch and Chocolate Graham Trifle
I got this recipe from my grandmother, who everyone calls Grammie. Grammie learned to cook after she married my grandfather, Grampster, and now she has a box full of recipes. Some of these recipes are from her childhood and others, she copied out of a magazine, but all tried-and-true. For one of our birthdays one year, she served a Butterscotch and Chocolate Graham Trifle, something that she used to have for birthday celebrations as a child. I got permission from Grammie to share it with you; in this version, I’ve tweaked it to fit the Fall season.
Steps & Ingredients
- Prepare the chocolate pudding and begin layering.
- Prepare the pumpkin-butterscotch pudding and refrigerate for at least an hour and a half.
