However, we are often at the mercy of unclear weather forecasts, which means figuring out a plan the day that we are grilling. Nonetheless, we have a recipe that you can put together at a moments notice without sacrificing flavor—flank steak pinwheels.
RECIPE: Grilled Flank Steak Pinwheels
This recipe is extremely versatile, you can switch up the herbs, cold cuts and cheese as you please, but what I like about the recipe below is that it balances sweet and savory in each layer from the sun dried tomatoes and capers to the Proscuitto and Mortadella.
Steps & Ingredients
- Butterfly the flank steak or have your butcher do it for you
- Layer on a sweet and savory tomatoey garlic paste with some Italian cold cuts and cheese
